In our third issue of the Student Affairs Bulletin Newsletter we focus on the Jane B. Gearhart Full Circle Campus Food Pantry and hear from 2 members of our campus community who are US military veterans.
This is a time when many people celebrate family and friends with the Thanksgiving holiday, so our thoughts turn to those who may be struggling with food insecurity and how we can help through the Campus Food Pantry.
Veterans Day in November also means celebrating those who have served this country as members of the Armed Forces. This issue we feature a staff Q&A with Fernando Rodriguez, associate director of the Veterans Resource and Information Center (VRIC). Our student Q&A is with former Army medic Seth Cobb, president of the Razorback Student Veterans organization.
Seth Cobb was the recipient of the Mike and Cindy Bonds Advance Arkansas Endowed Scholarship. Cobb spoke during the recent Campaign Arkansas Steering Committee about how the scholarship helped him in a time of greet need.
And finally in this issue we hear from three members of our Student Affairs family who were recognized with awards at the regional meeting of the professional association of Student Affairs practitioners – NASPA.
We hope you are enjoying The Bulletin and find the stories informative and worthwhile. We are going to take a break for the month of December but will be back with our fourth issue at the end of January.
