The Student Affairs Bulletin

The Division of Student Affairs at the University of Arkansas

All Call Student Affairs
Staff in the Division of Student Affairs gathered at The Gardens on campus for an outdoor reunion event at the end of summer to celebrate, relax, and reconnect. There were lawn games, door prizes, food, and lots of conversation. Approximately 150 staff enjoyed hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, and ice cream, thanks to Ozark Catering.  Games such as baggo/corn hole, giant Jenga, and croquet were available on the lawn.  We concluded the event with a group photo; the first in a long time!
In good fun, members of the division’s leadership team volunteered to take a pie to the face if they raised the most money for their chosen fund.  Attendees were encouraged to bring cash to put in the jar of the fund towards which they wanted to donate.  Funds represented included the Pride in Education Scholarship, UA Cares Student Emergency Fund, VRIC Mini Food Pantry, University Housing Family Scholarship, Unpaid Internship Scholarship, and Multicultural Center Student Fund.  Overall, the division raised $464.96 in support and Flo Johnson, Assistant Vice Chancellor for University Housing, was the lucky winner of the pie in the face.
Twice a year the division comes together for “All-Call” events, which are opportunities to hear division updates, socialize with one another, participate in a service project, and enjoy some snacks.
