Tell us something about your academic passions and how those relate to your role in Student Affairs program or department?
My academic passion is centered on how I can give people what they need. I strive to give them a product, or service that improves their life and brings them happiness. Working in the Union under the event staff I have seen how our services bring people happiness. I love seeing the smiles on peoples faces when they receive our excellent event services. Being available to help people when something goes wrong and take pressure off their backs is very rewarding. My experience as a student worker has been phenomenal, and I have truly learned a lot about how to provide great customer service.
What has been your greatest experience outside of the classroom?
My greatest experience outside of the classroom was competing in the annual Hormel Sales competition. We were asked to create a sales pitch and present it to buyers from Walmart, Tyson Foods, Kellogg’s, J.B Hunt, Insight Global, Goose Head Insurance, and more. I was fortunate enough to have received 1st place in this competition!
What advice would you give new students about getting involved on campus?
The best advice I could give is to introduce yourself and keep an open mind. In order to find the best fit, you need to keep an open mind and get to know multiple people within that organization.
What do you like to do with your time outside of the university?
Outside of the university I love traveling with my friends and playing sports. I also love spending time outside and enjoying the Fayetteville weather.
When do you plan to graduate and what is coming next for you?
I plan on graduating in May 2021! After college, I have a job lined up as a Retail Sales Representative with The Hershey Company.
Is there anything else you would like to add or let our readers know?
The community in Fayetteville is like no other. Spend as much time as you can hanging out with friends because next thing you know a pandemic might hit and then you’re graduating in a couple of months.
