Tell us something about your academic passions and how those relate to your role in Student Affairs program or
I consider myself a person who has always tried to increase my leadership skill and the way that I treat people in general. As a student worker at the Office of Student activities I get to help in multiple events and projects, improving my skills. I also get to deal constantly with student calling or looking for help at the OSA and being able to help other students daily has increased my abilities with customer service greatly.
What has been your greatest experience outside of the classroom?
My greatest experience outside of classroom was probably being part of the Freshman Leadership Forum. It was a great experience in which I was able to experience multiple branches of the student government. And that experience has led me to nominate and become a senator in the student government.
What advice would you give new students about getting involved on campus?
My advice to new students is to follow your passions as much as possible. Don’t be afraid to join a club or an organization. Get involved, meet new people, make friends, and have a great experience at the University beyond your classes.
What do you like to do with your time outside of the university?
Outside of the university I really like to walk the trails. I always say that Fayetteville is like the shire from the lord of the rings and everything is connected through the trails, so you can walk anywhere.
When do you plan to graduate and what is coming next for you?
I plan on graduating on May 2024. After that I will most likely try to do a master’s degree, I do not know in what yet though.
Is there anything else you would like to add or let our readers know?
The University of Arkansas is great so enjoy it. No one ever knows the future, and we do not know what is going to happen tomorrow, so enjoy every day as much as possible. And no matter the difficulty, always work in becoming a better person.
