Tell us something about your academic passions and how those relate to your role in Student Affairs program or department?

I am passionate about equitable and accessible education for all students. In my current role in Student Affairs, I think about these values in everything I do. Whether it is facilitating class instruction, leading presentations, coordinating events, or collaborating with other offices, I am considering how we can improve practices in consideration of all students.

What has been your greatest experience outside of the classroom?

Outside of the classroom, my greatest experience has been getting to know Northwest Arkansas and exploring all of the surrounding cities and states. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time so far in Fayetteville and have brought my friends and family out to visit as well.

What advice would you give new students about getting involved on campus?

The advice I would give new students about getting involved on campus is to remember that even if you’re nervous or struggling at first, showing others that you care will always go a long way.

What do you like to do with your time outside of the university?

Outside of the university, I love to spend time with my friends. We love doing anything together from dancing, to cooking, to watching movies, to playing pickleball, to going on hikes, to whatever else we feel like that week.

When do you plan to graduate and what is coming next for you?

I will graduate in Spring 2024, and I plan on contributing to research regarding higher education, hopefully in a PhD program.

Is there anything else you would like to add or let our readers know?

I would like to say that I have really appreciated the “Southern Hospitality” I’ve witnessed, experienced, and learned from in my time at the U of A. I will take that with me wherever I go!
