The Student Affairs Bulletin

The Division of Student Affairs at the University of Arkansas

What makes you proud to be a Razorback?

I love the atmosphere on campus! During orientation, I noticed how everyone was truly friendly and thoughtful. They are some great people who are willing to assist you and who want you to succeed in life. Also, I love walking around campus especially during the fall and spring. Watching the leaves change at Old Main is beautiful!

What is your favorite campus activity? Why?

Spring Carnival! I love how students can take a break from school and enjoy themselves to get a free corn dog or funnel cake, play games, and take fun pictures with their friends.

Who at the U of A has been particularly influential in your personal or professional development? Why did you select this person?

Trisha Blau, my advisor, has influenced and challenged me to be a successful leader. I love having our one-on-ones because she actively listens and understands me. She truly cares about my future and wants me to succeed in anything I do.

What do you hope to do after graduation?

My ultimate goals are to become financially independent, achieve personal satisfaction, and serve and support others. In a couple of years, I would like to pursue an MBA from the Walton College.

What advice would you give to a new student at the U of A?

Get involved! By getting involved, you will have the great opportunity to meet new people, develop professional skills, and grow as strong leader. Plus, enjoy your time at the U of A because time will pass you!

How do you think your time at the University of Arkansas will influence your future?

My time at the U of A, I learned to manage a full schedule with classes and work. I discovered to learn from mistakes and to continue on being positive in any given situation. Lastly, I’ve met great people who have influenced me to continue being a strong leader.
